Jackpot of Blessings

Bless the Lord, O my soul,
and all that is within me,
bless his holy name!
Bless the Lord, O my soul,
and forget not all his benefits,
who forgives all your iniquity,
who heals all your diseases,
who redeems your life from the pit,
who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy,
who satisfies you with good
so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.
Psalm 103:1-5, ESV

May the merciful, gracious, gift-giving Lord fill your week with a jackpot of blessings and grant us eyes to recognize His goodness and hearts to give thanks.

Thanking God this week for more of His abundant blessings:

In the chorus of thanksgiving with the community below:

  1. Glad Alan has a holiday today. Jeff doesn't get this one.

I love the video. :-) Ebony is adorable. How nice to hear your voice too!

I continue to pray for your physical therapy. Glad you have the blessing of an excellent therapist.

I was able to get some hotel-sleep this weekend, just not as many hours as I would have liked. :-) I may try to hit the hay early this week (it's great in theory anyway, huh?).

    Have a blessed week, Christina.

  2. Thank you, Lisa. The sleep is never as much as we would like around here, but I'm thankful God gave better quality sleep to you. :) A blessed week to you as well.

  3. What a beautiful list, dear Christina. You find what you are looking for, don't you?! And you are looking for blessings, so you find blessings in everything. Beautiful, indeed! :)

  4. Exactly. That's the goal, anyway. Always so much more to learn. :) Thank you for all your encouragement!

  5. Is 103 "your Psalm?"

  6. Oh, girl. There are too many "my Psalms" to tell you. :)

  7. Okay, I'm thinking I need a ball to put my dinner in—exercise while eating, brilliant:) Fun video of Ebony, and your voice sounds just as I would imagine. Good to hear! Especially thankful for your physical therapist as well as your perseverance toward healing through the process. Continued blessings.

  8. I know! The dogs get all the fun toys. :) Blessings to the Andersons as well.

  9. great video: as once before, i was struck by how emotionally expressive Ebony's tail is... i'm thankful that, after the hard eucharisteo of the last post, this week's gratitude list is replete with un-thorny gifts. hope your weather remains vernal!

  10. Glad you enjoyed it. Spot on about Eb's tail. We laugh about that frequently. I'm sorry you found the previous post so melancholy, but I think I can understand why. The forecast looks quite cheerful for the rest of the week. Grace to you and yours in Christ.

  11. This video made me laugh and laugh. Hooray for friends and pups and laughter! I want to make a video of the cats in my household but haven't found the time yet--maybe soon. So glad you've survived the first week of being back in PT and I pray it will bring continued healing and pain relief to your body in the days ahead. And thank you for posting Ps 103. "...forget not all His benefits." Yes. Just yes. Love and grace to you today, dear friend.

  12. Oh, I'm so thankful God gave you laughter here!! We are not opposed to cat videos, so I'll look forward to yours whenever you get around to it. Thank you, thank you, thank you for your prayers, dear one. I'm grateful for you. Love and grace back to you.
