Just the List, Ma'am

Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good;
His faithful love endures forever.
Psalm 107:1, HCSB

Today I return thanks to Him for these tokens of His affection:
~ability to support a friend at a celebration of her cancer journey
~nothing suspicious found at my annual skin cancer screening
~Allen rearranging bookshelves for a roomier feel in my office/workshop/physical therapy center
~good news that my sister's family is coming to my town for Thanksgiving
~a pot of gift mums from 2007 is flourishing in the garden and in full bloom just now

~birthday roses from 2010 blushing happily in the cooler weather and autumn rain

~ups and downs of strength and pain teaching me to abide in the true vine
~another friend recovering well from major surgery
~good conversation
~God's patience and grace with me
~praying for friends
~no bee population crisis in our garden

~monarchs decreasing but still splendid
This one's for you, Amy. :)
~honeycomb words
~Ebony's gentle complacency with the neighborhood children's eager attention (not the case with our previous dogs)
~peppers and tomatoes which missed the memo that it's November

(still counting gifts, #2168-2183)

  1. Thanking Him, too, on your behalf...

(And for your presence in my life.)

  2. You are such a blessing to me. It's nice to be missed :). Perhaps your feed is fine, it's just that I haven't written for a week. Too much of the busy last week. So nice to step back in and visit with sweet friends again.

  3. Loved reading each of your gratitude items. Glad the tomatoes and peppers missed the November memo:) Adore the white flowers. And you! Thank you for sharing beauty and truth here, clinging always to the true vine.

  4. Thank you for dropping by, Laura. I hope the busy was all good things. Grace and peace to you in Jesus!

  5. Thank you, Amy. Lifting you up in prayer today!

P.S. Regarding your panda post, I forgot to say how delightful the image of you and the magical birthday party was. I appreciate it all the more since my January parties were iced out more than once. :)

  6. And a lovely list it is, indeed, Ma'am. It blessed me. Thank you. Continued prayers for you. (BTW You must live south of me. It's been a warm November here, but not that much! Beautiful stuff, still in your garden.)

  7. Thank you, Sylvia, for your comment and especially your prayers. (We are in the Dallas-Fort Worth area of Texas. It's been 80 degrees or near it for several days now! The crepe myrtles have red leaves and blooms all together.) You are in my prayers as well.

  8. I love that your peppers and tomatoes missed the November memo ....mine have finally succumbed! Also the blooming mum ...what a gift bloom again ...and again!

  9. Yes, the mum was a blessed gift. That's why I spent my grandmother's birthday gift on rosebushes later on. I suppose another thanksgiving is my sweet husband putting them all in the ground and caring for them. Thank you for your visit and blessing me. Grace to you in Jesus!

Thank you for sharing your day with me! Your presence here is a gift. *You* are a gift. Right now I am unable to reply to every comment, but please know I read and pray for each and every commenter. Grace and peace to you in Christ.
