Dear Crumbles, the year's reading has not altered my opinion that Ann Voskamp's New York Times bestseller One Thousand Gifts would be my favorite new book of 2011. By way of thanking you and supporting any new gratitude habits in the works for 2012, I would like to offer one copy of the book to a commenter on this post. To enter, please leave a comment before 11:59PM, January 2, 2012. The winner will be chosen by Random.org on January 3. (If you are reading this by email or in a feed reader, please click over to the actual blog to leave a comment.)

Considering the formation of new habits, in company with the Holy Experience community:

  3. I have of this book and have been reading on it for a long time. Like, maybe 9 months. I'm, maybe 2/3rds finished and have found it a valuable read...but not one I can just devour. I'll enter your giveaway because I have a friend who would benefit in reading it, and I'm not ready or willing to share my copy. :)

  4. I have been a fan of Ann's writing ever since I first stumbled across her blog about 14 months ago. She has been a tremendous blessing and a tremendous challenge. She also has introduced me to a wonderful community of bloggers included our dear friend Sara Frankl who is now celebrating joy in God's presence. I'd be thankful for the wonderful opportunity of reading Ann's compelling story. Blessings and God's powerful grace to you.

  7. Agreed that it's a book to sip and savor, not "devour." Entering for a copy to give away is great! Grace to you, friend.

  8. Nice to meet you, Daniel. Ann's writing has been a blessing and challenge to me also. Though I only knew Sara through her blog, I too miss her but rejoice that she is in God's presence and pain-free. Thank you for stopping by and for the blessings. "Powerful grace"--yes, it is that. May God return it back to you in plenty.
